No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part A ensures that all K-12 students have teachers with subject matter knowledge and teaching skills necessary to help all students achieve high academic standards regardless of their individual learning styles or needs.
Elementary teachers who hold a K-9 license (from the old licensing system) and who teach middle school are for the most part the only group of Kansas teachers who may not meet the subject matter content requirements of NCLB. However, those K-9 teachers working in middle schools may either take the appropriate content test (PRAXIS II) or complete the Kansas Content Area Rubric to demonstrate their subject matter knowledge
.For SPED teachers - Special Education Checklist is included in the forms section of the website.
