PDC Holds First Meeting of New Year

Ten members attended the August 27 meeting of the PDC Committee. They were Daria Condon, Sheena Parks, Rhonda Bradshaw, Brenda Marshall, Jennifer Vaughn, Katie Pitts, Debbie Christman, Mary Ann Henry, Debbie Skahan, and Larry Coltrane.
The following was decided:
PDC members will attend the annual PDC training at Greenbush on October 1
Eight meetings were scheduled for the year to approve points and make recommendations on attendance at professional development events. Meeting dates are listed below. Teachers should make requests to attend events as early as possible so that they can be reviewed in a timely manner.
$10,000 is allocated for attendance at National events. Requests to attend National events should be submitted by October 1 for priority consideration.
Rhonda Bradshaw was elected PDC President with Brenda Marshall as vice-president. Debbie Skahan will be the secretary.
Teachers attending events costing more than $150 will be expected to share the knowledge they gained with other Interlocal employees. This may be done via the Interlocal website, presentations at inservice sessions, or in some other manner.
The PDC welcomes ideas regarding appropriate inservice topics or names of persons who would be good resources or presenters.

Sept. 24, Oct. 22, Dec. 3, Jan. 21, Feb. 25, March 25, April 15, and May 20.
