PDC Meeting Report
September 24, 2009
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) met on September 24 at the Interlocal Office. Chairperson Rhonda Bradshaw and members Jennifer Vaughn, Brenda Marshall, Vicki Miller, Daria Condon, Debbie Christman, Mary Ann Henry, and Sheena Parks. Also present were secretary Debbie Skahan and administrators Larry Coltrane and Dan Duling.
The group discussed current requests to attend professional development events with the Interlocal administrators and provided input for agendas for the Fall Inclusion/Resource teacher inservices to be held on October 6 and October 9.
Current and future inservice needs for the professional staff were discussed. Items identified as possible needs were Writing IEP's for Early Childhood Students and Writing Behavior Plans. Professional Development opportunities currently available were announced and discussed as follows: State Assessment Training for Special Ed Teachers at the Interlocal Office on November 16 and the KISN series of trainings at Greenbush.
Requests for inservice points were reviewed and action taken. The next meeting of the PDC will be October 22.
