Communications Council Holds First Meeting

The first Communications Council meeting for 2009-10 was held at the Interlocal Office on September 24, 2009. Chairperson Sheena Parks presided with members Dennis Burke, Linda Knoll, Kayla Zimmerman, Vicki Couch, Cory Gibson, Dan Duling, Melinda Adair, Mary Geier, Darrick Perry, Vicki Miller, Daria Condon, Carolyn Allmond, Warren McGown, Beth Kotzman, Becky Bedene, Rhonda Bradshaw, Lorna Belew, Steve Jameson, and Larry Coltrane present.
Agenda items for discussion included concerns in regard to the growth in numbers of students with intense behavior problems in the early grades and the morality of allowing those involved in our schools to be on the Interlocal Board. Efforts to increase interaction between Interlocal Board members and Interlocal staff were also discussed.
Announcements included the dates for SKIEA voting on the proposed negotiated agreement and that the Interlocal Picnic would be September 27 at the Crawford County Fairground from 3-6 p.m.
