Communication Council has November Meeting

The Interlocal #637 Communication Council met on November 12, 2009, at the Interlocal Office.
Chairperson Sheena Parks distributed an updated Communication Council list.
Topics of discussion included the availability of services in some programs because of high numbers and the continuum of services for all degrees of disability. The work load for teachers with students scheduled to take the Alternate Assessment was also discussed and procedures for obtaining professional release time for this work were announced.
Another topic of discussion was the use of time-out rooms and the Kansas guidelines for proper utilization of these areas.
The next Communications Council meeting is scheduled for January 28, 2010.
