January Communication Council Meeting
January 26, 2012
A meeting of the Interlocal #637 Communication Council was held on January 26, 2012. Presiding was chairperson Sheena Parks with members Darrick Perry, Vicki Miller, Linda Knoll, Dan Duling, Vicki Couch, Rhonda Bradshaw, Brenda Marshall, Daria Condon, Mary Geier, Larry Coltrane, Melinda Adair, Lorna Belew, Greg Kubler, and Nicky Hastings present.
Programming options and needs for the Intellectually Disabled population at different grade levels were discussed. There was also discussion regarding the May 1 deadline for submitting paperwork related to Annual IEP Reviews.
Mr. Kubler provided followup information about the requirements for notifying regular education personnel about the contents of the IEP and the 'IEP at a Glance' document. A document to possibly be used as a cover letter regarding confidentiality of IEP information was also distributed.
The next Communications Council meeting will be Feb. 16, 2012. Agenda items should be submitted to Sheena Parks sparks@girard248.org by Feb. 6.
