Communication Council Meeting
April 19, 2012
The April meeting of the SEK Interlocal 637 Communications Council was held on April 19, 2012, at the Interlocal Office. Chairperson Sheena Parks presided with members Linda Knoll, Darrick Perry, Steve Jameson, Greg Kubler, Vicki Miller, Brenda Marshall, Rhonda Bradshaw, Dawn Kerr, Daria Condon, Lorna Belew, Dan Duling, Mary Geier, Brian Biermann, and Larry Coltrane present.
Announcements were made regarding the Indicator 13 file review on April 26, the Skills Contest on May 1, and the CDDO waiting list (up to 10 years).
A summary of licensed staff changes for the upcoming school year was distributed.
An update was given on the Evaluation and Eligibility training held recently. The school psychologist group will develop more specific information that will be distributed in the fall.
There was a lengthy discussion about community based activities for various age students.
Other items:
A Reception for retiring employees will be held on May 3 at the Interlocal Office beginning at 3:30 p.m.
We achieved 100% compliance on the recent Verifications request.
Mick Tedlock, special educator working at Riverton, was named outstanding special educator by Class LTD.
