Many students and parents are not aware that their disabilities are protected by the American's with Disabilities Act - Section 504. Though this law does not entitle a student to specialized instruction during their post secondary education experience, they may have a right to specific accommodations. Each post secondary institution should have an ADA Section 504 coordinator.
